The Inspire 2’s collision avoidance technology is based on two stereo vision sensors that allow it to scan up to 30 feet ahead for obstructions. It does not, however, keep a continuous map of its surroundings like Typhoon H, nor does it have a “Follow Me” option. Regardless, if you have a few thousand bucks burning a hole in your pocket, it’s an excellent collision avoidance drone well worth your attention.

It’s a fantastic toy, with brilliant LEDs, 360-degree flip stunt capabilities, and a modular architecture that allows you to personalize the drone’s appearance and conduct simple maintenance. The Tenergy TDR Phoenix, of course, includes an obstacle avoidance system based on infrared sensors that work well. If you’re looking for a fun way to start into obstacle avoidance drones, or perhaps a present for a younger family member, the Tenergy TDR Phoenix is a great option.
